Neighborhood

Neighborhood Created by the students. This has been an ongoing project. It is still in process. The students, use different materials to build a neighborhood they desire.  

There is shopping mall, park with water slide, jack in the box, skate park, houses and swimming pool.

Movement phrase on "Making Puppets"

The students learn a short movement phrase about how they make the puppets.  For example. tearing papers, taping them together and painting them with different colors.

Buidling with raw materials

The students were given a task and they have to solve the problems together. They work together as a team to build something their desire with very limited amount of materials and time that were given to them. The final products that they created with were bedroom, neighborhood, bridge and a garden with sand castle.

These are the Artspace VIP passes that the students created in the first 2 lessons.

Collaboration Collage

For the past few lessons, students at JB Sutton have been exploring different lines and shapes.
- They explore through drawing those shapes on a piece of paper (individually)
- They explore through cutting out the shapes from their drawings
- They explore through filling up a big piece of paper together as a group
- The explore through making shapes with their body.

Today, they used all the cut-out shapes and collage on the big piece of paper they have worked on in the previous lesson. Through this activity, they learn to collaborate and negotiate space.















After they are done with the collage. The students spend a few seconds observing their work and then with their body, recreate their collage on the wall.
